Osteopath in Yorkville
A quiet, considered manual osteopathy practice a short walk south of Bloor — for Yorkville patients who'd rather not chase pain through another protocol.
LiveWell sits at 1033 Bay Street, Suite 316 — a five-minute walk south of Bloor and the heart of Yorkville. Patients from Yorkville, Rosedale and the Annex come to us for the kind of careful, hands-on work that's hard to find in the high-volume clinic model: unhurried 45-minute treatments, detailed orthopedic assessment, and a plan that respects your time.
Our lead Registered Manual Osteopath has nearly two decades of full-time clinical experience. Common reasons Yorkville patients book with us: chronic neck and headache patterns, hip and low-back pain from sitting or training load, post-injury cases that never fully resolved, and pregnancy or postpartum recovery work.

How Yorkville & midtown patients find us
We're a short walk or a single subway stop from most of downtown. Here's how patients typically get to us — and what they tend to come in for.
Mink Mile, Hazelton & central Yorkville
A five-to-seven-minute walk south down Bay from Cumberland, Yorkville Ave or Hazelton. Most central-Yorkville patients book longer follow-ups and often pair osteopathy with massage. Common reasons we see them: post-cosmetic-surgery recovery and scar mobility, training-load patterns from boutique-studio workouts, and chronic neck/jaw tension that's outlasted spa work.
Rosedale & Summerhill
Three subway stops south on Line 1 or a 15-minute drive with parking on Bay. Patients from Rosedale and Summerhill tend to book in family clusters — pregnancy and postpartum recovery, kids' sports injuries that haven't resolved, and the parents' own low-back and SI joint patterns from the school run.
The Annex & Casa Loma
An easy walk east along Bloor or a single stop on Line 2 to Bay station. Annex patients are a mix of U of T faculty, writers and creatives — common reasons: forward-head posture from long writing days, recurring upper-back tension, and hip patterns from running the ravines.
Forest Hill & Deer Park
A 10-minute drive south with Green P parking on Bay, or a stop on the St. Clair streetcar to the subway. Patients from this stretch often come in for post-injury cases that never fully resolved — old surgeries, ski injuries, falls from years ago that still load asymmetrically — plus the orthopedic and headache patterns of busy parents and professionals.

Common questions
How close are you to Yorkville?
A five-minute walk south of Bloor Street. From the Yorkville core (Hazelton, Cumberland, Yorkville Ave) you'll be at the clinic faster than you can park in the neighbourhood.
How long is the walk from key Yorkville addresses?
From Hazelton Hotel: about 6 minutes. From the Cumberland Terrace / Bay-Bloor corner: 5 minutes. From Yorkville Village: 7 minutes. From Bloor & Yonge (the easternmost edge): 8 minutes. All flat sidewalk down Bay.
Should I park at the clinic or near home?
If you're driving in from Rosedale, Forest Hill or further north, Green P on Bay is usually the simpler option — valet in Yorkville often takes longer to retrieve than the trip down. Many midtown patients alternate: transit on weekdays, drive on weekends.
Do you offer evening and weekend osteopathy appointments?
Yes. We hold dedicated evening slots and Saturday hours for patients who can't come during the workday.
I'm postpartum — is osteopathy safe and when should I start?
Yes, manual osteopathy is safe through pregnancy and from the early postpartum period. Many Yorkville and Rosedale patients start at 6 weeks postpartum (after standard clearance) for pelvic, hip and low-back recovery, scar mobility, and getting back to training without flaring symptoms. We adjust technique to your stage and to whether you've had a C-section.
Do you work alongside trainers, Pilates studios and other practitioners?
Yes. We treat as part of an ecosystem — many of our Yorkville patients are in regular Pilates, strength training or yoga and we time treatment around their training load. Where helpful we'll communicate directly with your trainer, RMT, naturopath or physician.
What's the difference between manual osteopathy and physiotherapy or chiropractic?
Manual osteopathy is hands-on across the whole body and tends to be slower and more global than chiropractic adjustments. Compared to physio, there's less emphasis on prescribed exercise and more on direct treatment of the tissues and joints driving your symptoms.
Is osteopathy covered by my insurance?
Most extended health plans from Sun Life, Manulife, Canada Life, Green Shield Canada, Desjardins and others cover manual osteopathy by a registered osteopath. We direct bill the major carriers.
